powerful kicks when kickboxing is true when your calves are stronger, but pivot and good quads/hamstrings definitly help blow some damage on the opponent. i do kickboxing still, muay thai. :D been doing it for about 7 years now. and before that did some TKD and kung fu since i was 8.
